Amazing DJ - Highly Recommended - Black Tie Entertainment was amazing - their interactive website allowed us to plan the reception in advance, and Mike took it from there. He coordinated with the caterer and made our day very easy. One thing I really loved is that he seemed to get the party going even during dinner. He interacted with guests and played songs and got people to sing along. People were very ready to dance by the time it was dancing time. Once it started - it never stopped. People were on the floor all night, even people who swore they'd never dance. We even asked Mike to stay late because people were having so much fun dancing. We got the biggest package, which included a laser light show, which was a lot of fun and made it really feel like a big party. Multiple people told me this was the best time they'd ever had at a wedding, and honestly, I have to give a lot of that credit to Mike and Black Tie Entertainment.

The reception was a success and our DJ was wonderful. He was so friendly and professional. He took time to talk to me at the beginning of the reception to go over the details and he made the night run very smoothly. He chose perfect music to play during dinner and he mixed up the songs that we picked perfectly. I had so many guests comment on what a great DJ we had. He literally kept the party going all night and we had a full dance floor for our last song! My favorite thing was when he asked all the couples to come to the floor right after the bride and groom's first dance, this helped get people dancing and they never stopped! We were so pleased with everything, we will DEFINITELY be recommending you and your DJ's to all of our engaged friends!

Three months later and our friends and family are still raving about the awesome DJ at our wedding reception! As a testament to Mike’s talent, several of our guests have booked him for their own events. Mike kept our dance floor packed throughout the night. He played the best current dance songs, some classic gems, and he was happy to honor all the requests. He even hooked up the groom’s iPhone to his system to play some of the groom’s favorite Dubstep jams. The groom isn’t a dancer and Mike got him out on the floor! Mike is professional, accommodating, and easy-going. He called the bride routinely in the weeks leading up to the wedding. He would just check in to make sure everything was going well and to get updated information. He made suggestions and asked questions. He was especially concerned with correctly pronouncing all the names in the wedding party (and he did, perfectly!) There are so many details that a stressed-out bride can’t think of on her own. It is so important to have great vendors like BlackTie who can help you with planning without being pushy. The equipment he used was high quality and it was set up very efficiently. The sound was appropriate during the dinner portion of the reception and it was cranked up for dancing! You truly can’t go wrong with BlackTie Entertainment. Mike will make sure you have great memories from your event that last a lifetime.

The Dj ran the reception so I was able to really enjoy being a part of it all. He was extremely professional, and also very receptive to what everyone wanted and to what was going on at any given moment. He even set up a speaker and music in the cocktail hour room. He really kept people on the dance floor, and events moved quickly so that no one was ever bored. The lighting was perfect, too. Everyone said that it was one of the best receptions they'd been to, and a lot of that is due to the great Dj!

Overall this was the best DJ we have seen at a wedding and luckily it was ours! Our first encounter with Blacktie was a phone call that put our minds at ease about the ceremony and music selections. Mike was our DJ at our wedding. He was AMAZING! Hiring him was truly one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding because he absolutely made the party.

Prior to the wedding, Mike was so easy to talk to and he listened to everything that we wanted for our wedding. We met with him twice and he captured every detail of what we wanted. He also helped us brainstorm on songs to use throughout the night and made great suggestions.

The day of our wedding, it rained cats and dogs, causing us to move our ceremony to an indoor location. This meant that Mike and Casey (his assistant for the night) had to set up in three locations instead of two - ceremony, cocktail hour, reception. They did this with no complaint and the entire flow of the night was completely seamless even with the separate locations.

During the reception, Mike was amazing. He knows exactly how to keep the night on track without being too overbearing. He is definitely kept the energy and flow going the whole night. It was perfect. I had several people comment to me during the reception that it was the best music that they had heard at a wedding - and the dancing hadn't even started! Once it was time for everyone to dance, our floor was packed the entire night. We had a great crowd and I knew people would dance but this was more than I expected. Even people who I know don't really like to dance were out on the dance floor the entire night. I have no doubt that this is very much due to the amazing songs Mike played the entire time.

I really can't say enough about Mike! He was great to work with from beginning to end and I felt like we were in great hands the entire time. He did an absolutely flawless job at our wedding. To top it off, his rates are completely reasonable! I will be recommending him to anyone I know who needs a DJ!

This is an enthusiastic 5 Stars! My fiance and I were new to the area and totally uncertain about what we wanted for our wedding music. We tossed around band ideas and DJ ideas for what seemed like months. We talked with or met a couple of DJs, and then we encountered DJ Mike. After chatting over a beer, we thought he would be a good choice for our wedding and booked him for our date. The result was so much more amazing than we could have imagined.

We had contemplated not getting a DJ because we were worried about cheeziness...DJ Mike was nowhere near cheezy. He got to know us, he learned our musical tastes, he asked us about our "must plays" and "must not plays" and he overall gave us a sense that he really cared about our wedding. So the planning was GREAT!

Then, at the actual wedding, what Mike delivered was even more amazing! He was all set up and professional for our ceremony with all the music we specified for this "formalized" part of the event. After that, he was set up and ready for our cocktail hour and reception. When I finished pictures and arrived into the reception, I was SO HAPPY with the music. My now-husband and I looked at each other on numerous occasions and said, "How did he know we LOVE this song?" It was fabulous. Like we shaped it ourselves, only with the care and combos that only an experienced DJ could provide. People were up and dancing between dinner courses, and we seriously danced the night away!!

Michael's personality shines through in his events; he and Casey worked so well together and we just loved them both! I cannot express my gratitude enough. Our guests still talk about how he is the best DJ they've ever seen and heard at a wedding. I hope you love him as much as we did - and I totally recommend booking Mike if you can for your next event. It will be personalized, fun, sentimental, lively, and simply wonderful!!!
